Founder's Story
LEagler was founded in 2024, inspired by Judia’s journey of resilience. In 2018, she left behind everything familiar to start anew. After graduating high school in 2019, she faced the challenges many newcomers experience—limited opportunities, low confidence, and the inability to pursue post-secondary education immediately due to her status as an asylum seeker.
Determined to overcome these barriers, Judia embraced self-development, shifting her focus from obstacles to possibilities. This mindset enabled her to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
Through countless interactions with post-secondary students and skilled newcomers facing similar struggles, Judia recognized the need for a supportive network. This led to the creation of LEagler, a non-profit by immigrants, for immigrants.
LEagler empowers young professionals and newcomers to integrate into Canadian society with confidence by providing resources, mentorship, and a community focused on leadership and growth.
Judia believes every immigrant carries a unique story and strength. Through LEagler, she and a team of passionate young professionals aim to transform challenges into opportunities, fostering a future where immigrants thrive as vital contributors to Canada’s social and economic fabric
